It takes around 10-12 hrs. (whole night journey) from Bangalore to Kodaikanal. Road transportation is the only way to reach there. Kodai is surrounded by green valley and it makes this journey completely scenic. This city is on top of a hill and in truly nature?s lap.

There are so many places inside and around this city. Some beautiful falls close to nature and Pine tree forests makes this city perfect for a photo shoot. Kodai has some thing for everyone. Being a hill station the climate here is always little cold but bearable. Road transportation is the only way to roam around Kodai. But tourists will never have any problem because taxi, cabs, travel agencies are there to help. One can take a package for their stay or everyday pickup and drop off taxies/cabs are available.

When traveling to Kodai just make sure to pack some warm clothes, caps and shoes keeping long walks in mind as tourists. There are some places like dense forest, falls and pine forests where you may encounter leeches (a blood sucking worm!). Just be careful and carry salt and match boxes and wear shoes when you are going to visit these spots.
