Lonavala is a beautiful hill station blessed with valleys, hills, Milky WaterFalls, Lush Greenery and pleasant cool winds. It is located about 64 km away from Pune and 96 km away from Mumbai. It is at a height of 620m above sea level and it is the most favorite monsoon picnic spot of Puneits and Mumbaikars. Khandala which is another hill station neighbouring Lonavala are called twin hill stations together.

Situated in the Sahayadri spurs, at a height of 1438m (4710ft) above sea level, its dense woods, waterfalls, lake, rivers and ravines are enchanting. Watching the sunrise or sunset from one of the "vista points" can be a romantic experience. If not sun set or sun rise these vista points offer spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Due to its high altitude, Mahabaleshwar town has a cool climate and offers many pleasant walks. Mahabaleshwar is truly a tourists' paradise.
Khandala is another beautiful hill station in Maharashtra located just 5 kms from Lonavala. It is relatively small in size but equally beautiful as Lonavala. A Deep valley on one side and high hills on the other side divide Khandala and Lonavala. These twin hill-stations are situated in the Sahyadri ranges that demarcate the Deccan Plateau and the Konkan coast and sprawl over an approximate area of 38 sq. km. Both hill stations are popular holiday destinations during the monsoons as the countryside turns lush green with waterfalls and ponds during this season.
Aurangabad named after Aurangzeb, the Mughal Emperor, is a city in Maharashtra. Aurangabad, commonly used as a base for a visit to the World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora is seeped in medieval history. Aurangabad means â??Built by the Throneâ??. Being a tourist hub, the city has many historical monuments of great importance. The monuments of Ajanta and Ellora shows the cultural heritage and is declared as World heritage site by UNESCO.
Alibag meaning Garden of Ali, is a coastal town is located in the Raigad district of the Konkan region. Alibag is a weekend picnic spot for the citizens of Mumbai. It is also a famous center for business conferences. Most of the people in the city own farms and cottages which are a few hundred meters from the sea shore. Amboli is a hill station engulfed in peace and tranquility. Situated at an altitude of 690 m, Amboli lies in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. This is the last mountain resort before the coastal plain of the southern ranges of the Sahyadri Hills. On one side of Amboli lies the Konkan coast, the other three flanked by handsome looking valleys. Amboli is a less known beautiful hill resort. This hill station is covered with mist during the rainy season. Submersed by thick forests and outrageous valleys, this placid mountaintop extends some of the best bird's-eye views of the Konkan coast.
